About Us
In November 2014, amidst the fast-paced world of fast fashion, Colole was born in Los Angeles with a rebellious vision: to create timeless, high-quality women’s clothing that defied trends and celebrated individuality. The brand’s founder, Sophia Laurent, a former fashion buyer, grew frustrated with disposable fashion and the lack of well-crafted, ethically made pieces at accessible prices.
The name Colole (inspired by the French "couleur" for color and "l’âme" for soul) reflects Sophia’s belief that true style is a blend of vibrancy and authenticity. The brand’s first collection—featuring luxe knitwear, tailored blazers, and versatile dresses—was an instant hit among women who craved sophistication without compromise.
Colole began as a direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand. A viral Instagram post by a fashion blogger in 2014 catapulted the brand into the spotlight, leading to a sold-out restock and collaborations with boutique retailers.
By early 2015, Colole introduced a "Modern Heritage" line featuring cheongsam-inspired details.
Sep 2018: Expanded to e-commerce with a made-to-order model to reduce waste.
In 2024, Colole opened its first permanent store in Los Angeles and debuted a recycled-fabric initiative, aligning with its goal to reduce textile waste by 30% by 2025. Today, the brand continues to grow, with plans for Global Market expansion and a signature accessory line launching later this year.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to evolving and staying true to our core values. To redefine modern femininity by crafting clothing that empowers women to write their own stories—one elegant chapter at a time.
